
PINK IS FOR GIRLS or so we've been told since day one. Pink party dresses, pink bows and who could resist Barbie in her pink packaging and co-ordinated outfits. Generations of girls have been subjected to pink in varying degrees, from infancy to sweet sixteen.
Pink is precious, pretty, perky and cute.
PINK is an exhibit by 25 artists opening Aug. 25, 2000 at TART gallery. These gals, grrrls and tarts intend to show the aftermath of being inundated with pink, and it1s effect on our feminine psyche. Individual representations range from social, cultural, psychological, sexual and aesthetic reflections on this most enduring female colour.
