An incredibly prolific artist who has always maintained focus on his creative vision and artistic independence.
Braineater's work and antics have been covered by local, national and international media. Most recently is his inclusion in "Live at the End of the Century" an anthology produced by the Grunt Gallery chronicling performance artists in Vancouver.
A true pop artist who not only references popular culture but is immersed within it,collaberating with other artists, musicians and actors. Producing promotional material for bands, has kept Braineater's finger on the pulse of the cities' artistic scene and maintained a long standing popularity with the movers and shakers in various creative fields. One being the local film industry.Tom Green's new film "Freddie Got Fingered",includes several large paintings which will also be on display at the Tart Gallery during "The Prince of Nothing".
The Tart Gallery felt it fitting to exhibit I ,Braineater's paintings with his apocalyptic views of the future, tormented characters and melancholy sexy girls(or lamenting lovers) as the last show of 2000.Is it all for nothing? or is there something in nothing? We'll let you decide. Come and check out"The Prince of Nothing."
