This Is For The Night People
An exhibit of some of the most popular cover artwork from Ralph Alfonso's monthly beatnik pop zine RALPH(Coffee Jazz and Poetry) and as featured in his new book,This Is For The Night People (Madrigal/Raincoast). Previously unpublished original paintings and illustrations will also be available for sale by the featured artists(some of whom will be in attendance).
Published since 1992 on an old 50's Gestetner mimeograph printing press,RALPH has showcased a wide array of pop artists working in the classic pen and ink of 50's & 60's illustration.
RALPH the zine is collected in two books,Coffee Jazz and Poetry (issues#1-25) and This Is For The Night People(#25-50).
RALPH the musical group is represented by 4 cd's and will be performing live at the exhibit
